整体的这种设计使得在白天不注意看不会觉察到在AB候机楼正面幕墙上安装有这套灯具，所以也保证了白天建筑内原先的自然采光，结合采用高亮低功率可控的LED光源，整个项目在自然采光和人工光源两方面充分考虑到了节能的效果。夜幕降临后AB候机楼正面幕墙上六条彩色光带缓缓变化，结合建筑本色内透静态的光，更加凸显出这座巨型钢铁建筑的立体结构之美。不同的颜色下建筑展现出不同的意境，随时随刻的光色变幻让这座钢铁建筑带上了几分柔性，让游客产生亲近感。
